An End of An Era(But not really, just the end of Blog every Day December;)

Now if you are into Wrock (wizard rock, music inspired by Harry Potter),you might know this song and how I integrated it into my blog title.Even if you aren't a Harry Potter fan girl like me, there's still some brilliant bands and songs that everyone can enjoy. This song made me cry when I first heard it.The books have become such a part of my life, they will always be with me.
Now, you might be pondering, why all this fuss over books?
Have you read them?
*I'm dropping an obvious hint that you should*
Ahem.

So, today's the last day of Decemblog(credit to Liz)

It has been fun.I've gotten to know you all so much better, and I've loved getting feedback from you much more often, with blogs every day you know...
I know I missed a day but I was sick, if I blogged, I could have gotten you guys the stomach flu too.
It's been a tad stress-full, having to keep myself organized, to put up a post every day for a month, but I got easier.I really think I've grown as a blogger in the last month and I'm so glad Claire started to blog everyday in December. And I really have had fun with this.:)

I have some pictures from Hailey & I's sleepover that weren't in the fashion collab we did, but I think were splendid and that you should see them:)
I got serious air.
Do you ever try to take pictures with your friends while jumping with he camera timer?
If not, I highly recommend it.

Hailey could not stop laughing at our manly mustaches
"Now that were men, we have facial hair"-Spongebob & Patrick from the Spongebob Squarepants movie

Now. recap of this year.

1.Did High School Track for the first time.

2.Turned 15(and eventually got my permit)

3.Went to Church camp for the first time.I mad many best friends for life there.(Plan on doing a whole post about it soon! Camp friends reading, I love and miss you so so much.)

4.Went to Florida with out my parents

5.Rode the world's fastest and tallest roller coaster

6.rode the world's largest wooden roller coaster

7.ate salad & cucumbers & shrimp for the first time(Blue Seal, I'm probably missing something;)

8.Watched Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1, twice

9.Successfully made a cheese and chicken quesadilla

10.Read the Harry Potter series for the seventh time

11. Grew incredibly closer to my youth group.(Some read my blog, I love you too.:)

12.Started blogging this past summer.I never want to stop:)Thank you guys so much, these past 6 months with you guys has been amazing.I love how we are friends, through just this website. It's fantastic.:)I really appreciate that you'd care enough to read my blog.I just talk about my life and what I care about. It's incredible that someone would care.Thank you.Your comments brighten my day so much, even if it sound like I don't have a life. And your comments are so thoughtful honest and sweet. It just makes me smile and often laugh.=D

Also, I've decided on a name for the blog!It was a tie between A Trail of Chocolate Frogs and I Digress.
I actually chose A Pensive of Sorts because it really describes what this blog is about. If you aren't a reader/ watcher of Harry Potter, a pensive is a basin in which you can relieve and think over your thoughts & memories. This blog is sort of like that. Most forms of human expression is like that, so it is timeless & has to do with my favorite fiction book ever.:)

Happy new year guys!Stay safe tonight if your going out to celebrate.I'm going to a party with Blue Seal and her family.

I can't wait to see what's next.(=

Awesome Project With Hailey, Part 1!

Hello:) Today you will discover what me & Hailey have been working on.I'm sure the suspense was killing ya';)We came up with themes of different ways people wear thier clothes. We first modeled them in our own ways, then we made collages that showed what we were going for in each collage.

We couldn't find any crazy pictures of Ms.Gaga in my plethora of magazines(go figure), So here's some pictures of her that relate in some ways to our outfits that "resemble" her

Which one was mine and which was Hailey's, you'll just have to see the insanity at her blog;)

This is the collage made for our Dressy theme.It's....dresses. Didn't see that coming, oh snap!

Jeans & plain white tee, aww yeah :)

(The right dress is similar to Hailey's outfit, MUHAHAHA!)

"what should we say about country?"-Me
"Yee-haw?"-Hailey

I don't own a lbd, so me and Hailey shared and made them individualized.Yeah. :)

The summery version of the little black dress. :D

Preppy, like the stereotype of boarding school girls.Very sad, I always wanted to go to a "boarding school"*cough* HOGWARTS*cough*

We had some trouble with this one, but It turned out alright, right?!
You be the judge...

Hailey's boyfriend/my best friend(one of em')
We also attempted to dress like boys.Hmmm.

We also did a Tomboy one, but we couldn't find any.I blameeth thee interneteth!!!!! D:

I hope you enjoyed this collaboration, now go see Hailey's post which continues our excursion!
And if you didn't enjoy it, it's cool. Fashion isn't every one's cup of tea. What would you like to see from our blogs in the next year?

And if you want to show us your interpretation of these themes or outfits, we'd love to see them, (specially the lady Gaga one, haha we sure felt ridiculous)
E-mail pictures to me at ms.rebeccamarie@yahoo.com and they will be in one of our future posts.
Gracias amigos!(y amigas)

*Regular B.E.D.D. post later today*

Caught up, Warm day, 2011.(B.E.D.D. 29 AHHHH, one more day!!!)

Top O' the morning to ya! Yes, it is morning and I'm blogging, somethings up.

I got around 8 this morning.I have my alarm set for 8:15, but I heard my family bustling around which woke me up.

Since then, I have; done my cardio for today(20 minute dance party), took pictures for you guys, gotten dressed(Running shorts, white tank, moccasins, and a windbreaker), and removed nail polish from my toes.

Isn't this straw weird? It came like this...

I'm loving this book so far.I hate the glare, but I love my face.:D

 Much better.

61 degrees fahrenheit in December.YES.
It rained, and I had no idea..

Clean and purty fingers(Kind of creepy with my eye, don't you think?

I like how my brother's feet aren't touching the ground.

We were playing on our home-made see-saw.

My brother made a Christmas tree with broken branches and sandbox toys.

More rained on stuff.

Now, I promised a New Year's post.I think I will make my resolutions today and reflect on the year tomorrow.I am not a huge resolution fan, but last night I wrote some down and added steps to reach that goal.

1.Get a job.I'm not doing track this year, I really want to help my parents out and I think this would be the most I can do.I might talk to one of my friends and see if her McDonalds has an opening, but I'd really like to work at this camera store or anywhere that can help  me gain knowledge about photography or any of my other passions. As much money that my parent's need is theirs for bills and such, and the rest will go to my D5000 fund. But I need to be 16 for most jobs and some require you to be able to transport yourself to and from work, which implies that I need to....

2.Get my licences. I've had my permit since late August, but I never get to drive anywhere. My dad like to drive the truck, because it's warmer.I understand that but it has a stick shift.Ugh....
I still haven't learned parallel parking yet, and I'm not good at regular parking yet wither.I need to practice those, and study the booklets the driving people gave me to see what's coming.

3.Read the Bible everyday.I've gotten to the point that I enjoy reading and writing about what I read in my journal. I don't fall asleep unless I''ve written in it.It's sort of like a letter to God, a way for me to get my thoughts out and to ask Him questions.I need to finish my current bible study and start a new one for 2011.
My journal(haha, Twitter...)

4.Have a healthier diet. And no, I don't mean go on a diet, I mean to change how I eat for the rest of my life.I am so sick of eating lots of junk and getting stomach aches afterwards.I'm going to avoid sugar as much as possible. And drink more water.I learned how to make cheese and chicken quesadillas Tuesday, I'm so proud of myself, seeing as I can't cook anything besides a pbj, cereal, and water.I want to avoid processed foods and learn more recipes(easy ones).I also want to start bringing my lunch to school, along with snacks to eat throughout the day.

5.Exercise every day(when life permits) I want to do some cardiovascular exercises(dance, run, jog, bike, swim...) on some days, strength days( exercise videos, Pilate's, crunches...).I will have those alternating 6 days a week.On Sunday, I will do yoga, to rest and stretch.

Yay for workout videos!:D

6.I want to keep in touch with my friends an family more(particularly far-away friends).I want to write letters to my friends and cousins at least once every month or so.

7.I want to improve as a photographer/ blogger.I'd like to become a better writer, take better pictures, and become better at editing.I will do this partially by taking Photography 1 next semester and I will become a better writer by writing in my journal everyday. And through other bloggers tips and Digital Photography School, I will improve over all with this goal in mind. I want to post at least once a month to flickr and once a week on this blog(again, as life permits)

8.I want to take better care of my skin.It is far from perfect, and I know that it will never be perfect. But to get to the point where I don't feel like I need to wear face makeup, that'd be amazing!Until then, I will be sure to completely remove dirt and makeup from the day every night.I will put on spf everyday. And I will find natural, home remedies to clear and balance my skin.

PHEW!That was a lot eh?Congratulations if you made it through alive.I can't think of anymore resolutions.I've started on a lot of these so I'm ahead of everyone else.HA!=D

Do you have any resolutions and exciting things happening in 2011?I'd love to hear them, so we could all encourage each other to stick with em', eh? Anything you guys want to see from this blog, any challenges or questions?Let me know, you are such wonderfull people, I crave your opinion.
Sleepover with Hailey, excited for fun blog brainstorming!
(psttt... poll over there, ends soon, MUHAHAHA)
*cough*
Sorry bout' the awkward/odd (oddward?) ending.Okay, bye for real now..

Frida Kahlo, camera rejuvenation, and a sleepover(B.E.D.D. 28, two more days!)

Oh, Mia Thermopiles, how you make me laugh. She is just like me, I swear...

"Grandma, I spun without hurting anyone!"
"That's very good news."

"I love your eyebrows! We'll call them Frida and Kahlo."-Paolo

I have been abstaining from taking pictures. My battery scare made me think they needed a day of rest.
Today has been a day of nothing.I should have cleaned my room , but instead I packed for tomorrow.

Tomorrow is a sleepover with my friend Hailey.I'm going to help her with her blog design and we're going to brainstorm some more things for her blog(and maybe mine a bit?)It might interest some people, and some it may not.It just depends on what your into.Okay, now I'm torturing you, I'm sorry. We aren't even completely sure what we will be doing ourselves. But it will involve clothes, I will let you all know that;)

Okay, well, I really like posting pictures but I don't have any from today....let me find something in the archive...

Oh, here's something.

This was from the first ski trip I took with my youth group, three years ago.I'm glad I kept my camera on me on the slopes.

(Man made slopes, but slopes none the less:)
This was back when I got my first digital camera, and was just new to taking pictures.

I'm sorry for the not so awesome post today.Expect a more thought out, New Year-ish themed post tomorrow.

Also, do you want this blog to be called a Trail of Chocolate Frogs? That's what is winning in the poll on the right. In the end I will make the decision for the blog name, I know the one I would like to have and keep forever. But which one do you like?

Have a good night everyone!

Beth, stuffed animals, and a collaboration(B.E.D.D. 27)

I am not a happy camper today.
All my camera batteries decided to not work today.Even the four backups I decided to charge last week. They were freshly charged and didn't work.Could this be the end of my strong, dependable GE.....

Are you kidding me.Really camera, that's NOT FUNNY.I just put some batteries that haven't been charged yet and it TURNED ON.That's weired.:/Not funny though camera, don't do that ever again.

Anyways....today was supposed to be the day where I clean my room.Pfttt, did not happen.I did get as far as making my bed, and choosing some stuffed animals to give to mom to sell at work.I don't sleep with stuffed animals anymore, but I do keep them in this net thing, for memories sake.

Most are gifts and have very special memories with them, like the hippo I got on my first Choir Tour, Mousy my oldest white & huge, stuffed mouse(creative name, I was three). My most recent addition was Horhay the shifty red-eyed duck, that Bond forced me to use his money to win this summer.

So, I digress. The next page is even funnier than the first one, take a look:

Translation:June 9th (2002)
Last night I had a dream. This is wat it is.I was at the beach in Florida and is (hay?) and ant Joany and Uncle Huoo(Hugh) and we went on a beach.

Then there is my drawing of Florida. This was back in the days that Florida was an island and we had 49 states. Then an earthquake awoke dinosaur bones and reanimated them and the pushed Florida to connect to the continental U.S.

Sarcasm was dripping off my fingers as I typed that last paragraph.:DLike my spelling of beach?Beth?Wow, I'm so disappointed in my 7 year old self.I must find out who taught me in 1st grade and tell them how they made me embarrass myself, 8 years later.
Yeah, probably not going to happen.
:)

Anyways, I have some news.My friend Hailey & I are going to be doing some joint blogging efforts together in the very near future. So follow her to be in on all the fun!Plus, I'm going to help her with her blog design too.I'm very pumped for this whole project thing! We will see where it goes I guess...:)

Three days left of 2010.I will miss saying "2010", but I'm excited for the future:)Hope your having a lovely week so far!Any resolutions?
P.S. Blog title poll over there----------->
Only three days left, please vote if you want a say;)

The 7 year-old me(B.E.D.D. Day 26)

Hey guys!I am crunched for time,(went to the gym with Dad and he took forever)so I thought I'd, in a way "re-post" something. You know how I talked about journaling yesterday?Well I wanted to divulge a little more into that...

I have 16 journals* that I've written in from May 2002 till now.My first journal was this baby blue fuzzy number that said "Angel" on it and was flocked by a bunch of blue fuzzy hearts.I got it from my uncle Roger, aunt Tina, and cousins Jill & Tyler.

It's first entry reads"May 18th, 2002 I am going to a how to be a big brother or sister school. It is at the hospital. It is fun!from becky**"
I've learned how to use spaces now. :D I was 7 at this time, it's been 8 years! That's so crazy!

Also at this time my mom was pregnant with my lil' brother.I went to classes at my local hospital to learn how to hold babies and such.I think I even got a "Big Sister Certification Certificate":D

Random moment of happiness: As I put on my freshly washed sweatpants before I went to the gym, on of those lint sheet things popped out of my left pant leg as my foot followed it.

Here's some pics from yesterday.

On ze way to church.

Told you, not the whitest Christmas ever, but still.:)

"Is that not the favorite drink of one Harry Potter?"
-Severus Snape, of A Very Potter Musical Act 1 Part 10.

I am officially a dork.

*all shapes and sizes
**My nickname was Becky when I was younger.I loathe it so much.I believe we've reached the point where I can trust you not to call me Becky.;)

Journals & Jawbreakes & Dum-Dums, Oh My! (B.E.D.D. 25)

A lot has happened since I last posted.Long post ahoy!(I don't know if that made sense, but I will just go with it.)

*pauses to take out her contacts(stupid eyelash caused me pain!) and put on her glasses.and go to the bathroom.and get some jawbreakers.*

Hello, I am back!So, last night after blogging, I went to bed and opened the journal that Bond gave me for Christmas(and a pencil he gave me also.) I started to write and found I honestly couldn't stop.And reading back, I wrote in better handwriting because the journal was so fresh and new, I didn't want to soil it with my usual chicken scratch(or as my assistant youth director calls it, "old man handwriting") I wrote about God, life, and Bond's favorite verse, Romans 8:28, which reads;

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

That verse really helped me out a few days ago.It helped me see that no matter what happens; everything will be okay.God's made a trail for me (a plan of a purposeful life) and I'm going to hike it with Jesus.I will not make it myself.Jesus went ahead of me and knows the way. It's crazy how God still loves us, eh?

Anyways I'm really gonna try to write in this journal as much as possible(every-day?)Honestly, I will miss talking with you guys through this blog everyday when December ends, but I will be so happy with having more time to make better, insightful posts, and to take more quality-full pictures.
*ran out of jaw breakers, got some some-what melted Dum-Dums*
I don't want to make resolutions, because those are kind of set to failure with me.I want to apply some things for life.I want to continue writing in a journal everyday.I've written in a journal everyday since mid-July and only missed one day(sickness:p) I want to make it a more meaningful time I spend with just God & myself. He deserves my time, seeing as he takes care of me so well. Also want to lose my belly fat.I want to change how I eat for...ever pretty much.I want to be more energized and happy with this temple I've been given.I also want to get my licence & a job. Those depend on luck though, partially.:D

Thanks again so much for reading my friends, your comments make me incredibly happy....

*interrupts sappy moments with ear deafening CRASH as I demolish the last Dum-Dum*

ANYWAYS, I really appreciate you all.I know that some of you can't see my posts in your post roll thing and I have no idea how to fix it.Make sure your following me still, because I changed the linkety, it's now msrebeccamarie.blogspot.com/ That might be the whole reason, I have no idea....

Thank you for coming back to read my posts.I wish I could give you all something in return. What would you all like?:)Honestly, tell me what you want! When I meet you in person, a free manicure or pedicure is in order, due to this post.

Here's a happy thought to end on, tomorrow is Monday and we have no school. If you have work or another early morning appointment, I'm praying that it will be super amazing;)

Happy Christmas, as Harry would say...(B.E.D.D. 24)

Hello friends, happy Christmas!I pray that you know the real reason for christmas. Here's a video to remind us all...

I saw two fellow bloggers post this video today, Carlotta & Just Me.I love this so much, too pdp for my brain to handle. As my Christmas present, get to know them by checking out their blogs. They are so kind and such lovely people:)

I'm going to start this post by continuing on from Christmas Eve.I was getting some ice cream and I realized that we hadn't set out cookies and milk for Santa. So I did that and headed back to my room.

Nothing under the tree yet...
PRETTY LIGHTS

Woah, now there's presents!:)

Yay, I got a purse(look at how surprised I am;)

Attire for Christmas day, socks, snowman pj pants. moose bowers for added warmth, gray thermal, no makeup, no contacts, and bedhead.Merry Christmas:D

We got a little tiny amount of snow. But snow is still white:)

I also got an external hard drive.I love it, but it's backing up my whole laptop, even my parent's stuff. Not good, seeing as I have to leave my computer on all night in an attempt to let everything load.Still, as least they will be safe in the end.Sigh, just about 15000+ files to load.

My day consisted of stuffing my face, chillaxin on the interwebs, doing this strange (yet relaxing) yoga video, packing my new purse, writing thank-you notes and reading my book(Elixir by Hilary Duff, review coming soon)So far, surprisingly good book.If your into photography, you'll probably like it as much as I do.

I hope you are all having a lovely Christmas, and be safe when traveling home!:)
Hugs,

Happy Christmas Eve to you!(=(B.E.D.D. Day 23)

Happy Christmas Eve!The plans to drive up to my grandparent's today fell through because of weather.Which means a green Christmas this year. But it will be a lot easier on my family, seeing as it's hard to travel with my brother.(He has mild autism, and has been more difficult lately.)Plus my dad has been feeling under the weather, so we won't bring anything for them to catch. He has stopped hiccuping, but still not feeling well.

What is strange about this Christmas is that I'm not eagerly awaiting Christmas morning, like I usually have ever since I was little. I know what one of my gifts is, a purse from Target.(I went with my dad to buy it with the promise of acting surprised:)I know I will literally get just a few things along with the purse and that's it.

Money is so tight, so tight that I've decided to not do track and try to get a job.(Plus I've had this growing interest to take my diet and fitness into my own hands.Abs, your coming back!:D) My dad has been out of work for about two years now, and I need to step up and help him and mom out.It is the least and most I can do to help them, with anything.

Anyways, I have never been as excited to see my friends and family open their gifts my whole 16 Christmases.I am here, typing on my blog on a cold, non-snowy Christmas eve. Many of you are probably hanging out with your family.Oh, how I wish I could do that.My family is so not like others. There's no Hallmark moments. Not with my bro reacting badly to random things. His hearing is so sensitive that anything can set him up, a whisper, a car alarm, and currently, my dad's voice. It just breaks my heart and I honestly can't do much but stay out of the way.

Well, this is turning out to be a depressing Christmas post, my bad.:) I am hopeful for the future, especially my brother's. My church is starting more opportunities for special education kids like him to reach out.I just need to get my parents convinced that it will be okay.Me and some people at church are praying for my family.I know there will be a day when we can all go to church together.I know they need the support of God and my other family/church family.

Soo...we made cookies today:)I also wrapped some presents for mis padres(my parents)

I made some hot coco to start off my day.

My favorite mug:)

Ignoring the unmade bed...

Pretty clean eh?

My brother made some ornaments:)

I think it says "My Days of Christmas"

Our Nativity Scene

Poor Joseph, must be limping:(

Santa Claus!

Our little skiers

Presents, wrapped.I am not good at it though, haha:)

Chocolate chips

We're making cookies to go in there.(My dad's obsessed with Charlie Brown Christmas, we also have a little wimpy Christmas tree, just like the one in the movie.)
Yay, ingredients!:D

The cookies turned out all right, a tad burnt, but whatever.I'm sure Santa won't mind;)
I plan on spending the rest of today in the living room, reading, maybe a game of UNO?
If you don't know the Christmas story or want a refresher to feel the great joy of Jesus, check it out! And follow Huge Love if you like Tiffany posts. I love it, she is such a lovely person and is always there for you if you need a prayer.I hope you are all well and having a lovely Christmas eve with your family. And if your not with your fam, then in a weird way, I'm not either, so I'm right there with you, drinking eggnog and forcing you to open a(a.k.a. all) presents early.:D Much love,
Rebecca
