Homecoming :)

Hello friends:)

Sorry it has been a awhile since a non-rushed blog post. I have about an hour before I head off to church and I have loads to tell you.

The main thing: homecoming. If you are not familiar with homecoming, it is a tradition in American high schools to have a football game and a school dance after. Last year, I went to the dance and not the game, by myself. I saw a few of my friends at the dance, but they either had dates or weren't true friends at all. I really hated it.

I am not a dance person, I am horrid at it. So I didn't dance last year. I was also close to tears because I saw the guy I liked with his ex. Not fun...

But this year, I am a different person. I didn't need a date. The guy I liked last year, not important anymore. I am happy with my best friends. So I just spent the whole night with them.I danced with them 75% of the night. I danced stupidly and they didn't tell me "Stop, your so embarrassing me!!!". We all had so much fun.

When it came to slow songs, I felt a little lonely and wishing I had a date. Some songs I'd dance with my invisible date named Ben Barnes. My friends though we looked so cute together.:D Other songs I'd dance with my fellow dateless friends.

In the middle of the dance, they played songs we didn't like.We escaped to get pictures taken. I was with my two friends who both had dates so I was just going to watch them get their pictures taken. But they wanted me in the picture.I can't wait to see them:D

After the dance was over, the music ended and our ears felt like they were stuffed with cotton balls! It felt like that until ten minutes later. My feet turned blue in my comfy heels.I know, comfy and heels don't belong in the same sentence.:)

I must head off to church now. Do you have homecomings or dances where you are? I am so glad I went.:)

I'm going to be late for class unless I post this right NOW!

Hello:)
I am in my school's library.I was just reading the latest National Geographic, when I realized I haven't made a blog in a while.

I am surprised that my school allows  this beautiful website on here, my school does block Facebook & YouTube:(

I went to my friends' usual meet up place and left my backpack there with a note that reads:
"Library-Biblioteca... love, Rebecca" I don't think they got the message, it's been at least 15 minutes.

I finally got a dress for homecoming! The first one I got I didn't like but my mom found me a purple and black one, WITH POCKETS. I refuse to carry a purse around, I loathe purses, eww...

Yesterday was so fun!It was my moms birthday and after church we got a pizza for mi madre. Then when we got home, there was my aunt & uncle's car! We walked in and they were at the kitchen table, saying there was no need for us to go get a pizza, seeing as they had brought some with them to celebrate. We talked, ate cake, and kept my brother out of trouble.

Then I went to church later that afternoon to count money donated to the Heifer project.I counted $150 in quarters, go me!:D Then we sang and ate food, praised Jesus, talked in small group and had permission to run around hitting each other with noodles. It was a fun first night of my youth program.:)

Must run to class,
Rebecca:)

9/11 Remembrance, Homecoming, and Possible Dream Blog?

Good morning my awesome followers!:)

Well it isn't really a good morning, 9/11 9 year anniversary.:(

I remember I was in first grade when it happened. We were just having class when my teacher turned on the news.I saw the planes crashing into the buildings and got really scared and started to cry. School was let out early and my mom came and picked me up.I was so afraid that planes were going to come and knock down my school or house. It was such a terrifying and haunting experience for me and all Americans.

We were angry, mourning, and just plain scared. That's why we are in this mess of a war, I think. Now, I am no political person, but I think we should be hunting down the terrorists who caused so many people so much loss 9 years ago. I honestly have no idea what our troops are supposed to be doing in the Middle East anymore. Tis' all so confusing and if I read too much about it, I start to feel sick to my stomach. What's your experience/memories of 9/11? Even if you weren't in the U.S. at the time, it must have affected you in some way. Rest in peace, all who were in the buildings and who were brave hearts, serving the U.S.:(

Anyways, I'm going to do an awkward transition from a tragedy to my life where I'm so blessed to not have been directly involved in the World Trade Center's crashing down. I just needed to write about that first...

So, I enjoyed my short week of school very much. The dates are released for Homecoming, the theme is awesome, and I'm going with a group of my friends. A few of them have dates and I am so excited for them!I don't have a date but I'm totally cool with that, no seriously!I'm just excited for them and I'm excited to go dress shopping tomorrow with them! (:

Now, my family is quite low on cash right now, I'm not going to lie to you. But I am taking some money out of my own bank account. I literally don't have a dress to wear to Homecoming, unless I want to; 1)look like a girl on a jungle safari, 2) look over dressed in a prom dress that swallows me up, or 3) under-dressed in a blue summery  sundress. We plan on going to the mall and I'm looking foreword to Forever 21. I've been looking on their website and they have some adorable, cheap dresses. On the models they look extremely short, but I'm a short girl and they are 6-foot tall supermodels, so they will be longer on me.:)

In other news, one of my best friends turned 16 this week. She went to take her driving test yesterday and I hope she passed!I'm pretty sure she will, she is a good driver. Then she will be able to take me to school and I won't have to endure my dad's negative news radio stations.:) Also Blue Seal's 15th birthday is coming up! I know what I'm getting as her present.:D I'm helping her make invites and such....

I've had some odd dreams this week... one of them was me painting my friends' nails before Homecoming. Should I post my dreams on this blog or make a separate blog for them? They can be pretty intricate.... what do you think?

No homework this weekend, my rooms clean; I call for more online dress shopping, YouTubeing, exercising,  and painting of my fingernails.:)Thanks so much for reading, have a fun and safe weekend everyone!
