Camp:The Reign Of A Honeybadger*

Day 1

Day 2

Day 3
Day 4
Day 5
These are my pictures from my last week of camp. I thought about writing something about each day as i did with Choir Tour, but camp has always been special and relaxing, that there is not much different day to day events. All I can say is that God changed my heart there and after I came home, I started out strong, reading my Bible and praying every morning. But now I have lapsed back into putting my relationship with God on the back burner. That is not okay and I am going to start over today. I'm not saying this will be the last time I do this, but telling you gals (and guys) makes me feel more acountable for my actions.

Camp really revealed some sins that I never even noticed. I felt so awful about it and begged for forgiveness and then, I was forgiven. God is so good. I want him to set a fire in my soul, completely uncontainable and uncontrollable. A fire so ginormous that I can't not praise God and talk to Him every day. My prayer is that you will always experience His forgiveness, love, and mercy everyday.

*To explain the title, my family group was named the honeybagders. Honeybadger don't care!:D

The Great Reveal of a Beautiful Space

We will begin our tour at behind my door, haha! There is a mirror and a door full of fashion inspiration. There is also and adorable light switch cover. Evidence that I am really and little old lady in a 17 year-old body, check.
This is my little corner to get ready for my day. I am super cool and I do color-code my clothes.

Here's my desk and bookshelf(also color coded) That picture is a photo of me and my dad painting the hallway when I was itty bitty.

There is my bed, Build-A-Bear included. On the tray is a Poariod I took in 5th grade and some color swatches. My room is painted the top white on and I plan on painting my shelves the mint green on the far right. And there is one of my walls.

That was a photographic tour of my newly painted, vacuumed, and clean room. That was probably insanely boring, but I am proud of 3 days of painting all by myself. 4 days if you include cleaning... =P

After I concluded this project today, I rewarded myself with a carrot cupcake. I hate carrots, but not with cake and icing, ha ha!

This week has been my week off of work and I have been loving it! It has been many late nights wathing tv shows (Spongebob, Grey's Anatomy, 90210, LOST) and early mornings painting. Yes, I wath a wide varity of television...

This was my uniform for painting, an already painted Choir tour shirt and an already painted pair of running shorts. Oh so fancy...

Painting my room was a blast, yet more physically exhausting than I imagined, seeing as I did it all myself. I felt very grown up and this seems like a rite of passage into my senior year, just because I'm in that deep, inquisitive mood.:)

I will hopefully be getting my senior pictures done next week and I'm already thinking of outfits and photo ideas. My friend Ashley will be taking them and she is amazingly talented.:) I am starting to get excited for my last year of high school. I love my schedule and my main goal will be to truly be passionate about everything. Not just in school work, even though that's important, but also reaching out and growing friendships and being a servant leader like Jesus. I feel more ready to take on the world with this new coat of paint. All shiny white and new; it's inspiring.:)

Tuesday I went on an adventure with my friend Bethany. We rode our bikes from my middle school to a park and had a little picnic. We rode back and covered about 8 miles! We treated ourselves to Oreos afterwards, of course.=) Pictures from that will be in the next post!

I have a great joy to share, my dad got a job!! He will be selling golf stuff and traveling. He loves traveling and I am so happy that he will enjoy it. Also, fellow blogger joy is that Lauren's baby girl's heart is healthy now! This week is full of answered prayer and I am so thankful for God for loving and caring so much.

Today I went to the library and got Jane by Design (is it good?), some albums (Sufjan Stevens, MGMT, Regina Spektor, and Amy Winehouse, I know, I'm a varied person in all areas), and two books, Ostrich Eye and Smile for the Camera. I hardly read anymore and I am excited to get back into it.

Thank you for all your sweet comments on my last post. You are golden.:)

Two years ago, this all began. {TIME CAPSULE}

When I started this blog, I wrote in my first post that I was a fifteen year old girl, who lived in America, but whose heart longed for London. I am unsure of where I want to live, but I still want to go there someday.

This quote is still extremely true: "That traveling has been mainly with my youth group, who are my best friends in the world;I love them so much.( :"

My dream was to be a photographer, mainly nature/candid. I have come to the point that I take pictures of everything I see that is interesting, so.... everything.I dreamed of a Nikon D5000 and I have purchased not only a greater Nikon than expected but a waterproof point and shoot also. I have also gained a summer job at my church working with children of all ages. I am so blessed to have it.

Some things haven't changed though. My brother still has autism and has evolved to be worse than I thought it could be. My family is facing economic hardships and this summer, I am the only one working. My love for my family, no mattter how dificult and dysfunctional we are, remains the same.

I was a freshman turning sophomore. I just finished a tough year of transition and change in myelf. I am now a junior turning senior, starting a year of hopefully discovery and joy. Honestly, if you are an underclassman, you have no idea how fast high school will fly by. It may seem monotone and awful, but enjoy the time you have with your friends. Those times at school dances, play practices and simple "hanging out" are the things that make me smile the most.

Because time goes by so fast, I want to start a new tradition. Every blog-aversary, I will tell some simple facts and share some pictures that will be incredible to look back on a year from now.

.I am currently listening to "Regina Spektor Radio" on Pandora. The song is "Never Let Me Go" by Florence + The Machine.

The Day
.Today I woke up at 6:41 a.m.
.I did my devotion with the book from camp and read Acts 14:19-22. On my reading through the whole Bible, I am on Numbers 22.
.I went to work and taught my 1st grade class the stories about the Last Supper, the Betrayal of Jesus, and the Crucifixion.
.One of my kids said this:  "There's billions and billions of hope out there!" =')
.I picked up noodles with my toes and put them on a pipe cleaner for a Fear Factor challenge with Ali. We got two in one minute!
.I watched some episodes of LOST on Netflix.
.I have 4 holds waiting for me at the library and I am waiting for 22 items. Most are 1st seasons of many TV shows I aspire to watch someday.
.I am getting next week off work and am brainstorming what colors to paint my room.I am thinking white then one accent wall.

Currently, I don't know what I am doing college/ career wise. I am praying for God to reveal to me what He desires that I do. I know I want to talk and laugh with people and be surrounded by color in the future, always.

I want to thank you guys for reading. Seriously. This blog has been so fun and I plan on talking with you guys until I upgrade to Heaven's version of blogging.=) Thank you, weather you have been here from the beginning or just yesterday. Thank you for sweetly commenting and genuinely caring. I promise to try and give you what you have given me, which is a big bowl full of warm fuzzies and laughs and words and other super sappy, sweet stuff. Like ramen. I wish I could give everyone ramen noodles. Yum......soooo thank you basicaly.=D

So, what got you into blogging? And what do you think I should  paint my walls?
