B-?

You will not guess what happened. I have a B- in geometry!I know, shocking much?

Thursday, I got a grade check in geometry class. My heart was pounding. When my teacher handed me my paper, me eyes scrolled down and saw 79.88%, B-. She rounded the grade!:D My friend(no nickname ideas yet..) helped me before bible study at Panera Bread. She really helped me understand.I took some notes on properties and proofs to memorize. It was quite fun too, as fun as math can be.:) She let me try some of her Broccoli and Cheese Soup.YUM. Then we got a tumbler of cookies and arrived a tad late to bible study. It's alright, we shared the cookies.(:

I didn't have an opportunity to retake my geometry tests yet, but I have more study time on the bright side. I have gotten a load of my research paper on Mecca done today. I've gone over the minimum page requirement, but I'm not even half-way done... I am so not an overachiever, even if that's what it looks like, ha ha :)

Yesterday we had a two hour early release. It was a brilliant day. Journalism was fun with  my funny teacher and friends. We had a sub in Spanish ll and enjoyed the last day sitting with some of my freshman friends.(We are getting a new seating chart next week.:(  In biology I just laughed with one of my new friends. We had fourth lunch and weren't hungry so we skipped lunch and we worked on our huge pile of projects, papers, and homework.

My friends wanted me to go to our last home football game of the season, but I went with my family to a fall festival party for autistic kids and their families. We left early because my brother wanted to leave but I think he had fun.:)

I have some pictures to share from this week...

My brother decorated this cookie:)

My grandparents from 8 hours away are visiting so I'm going to hang out with them now.(:
Weekends full of sleeping in and no homework,

Geometry, how you loathe me..

Dear Geometry,
I am so sorry that I am failing you. I'm trying, I really am. I know you want an explanation as to why I am failing the tests and quizzes over you.So here it goes.
1) Budget Cuts. The school has had cut funding into little tiny pieces, so that results in my class having, oh I don't know.. almost 40 students!?! That results in my class having loads of kids who are loud and distract the ones who want to learn about you from doing so.
2) My teacher is completely insane.I mean she's nice and all, but she never really teaches us anything. She never explains you fully and she can't control the 37 or so teenagers that are in her class, and I can't expect her to.
3) My dad who knows a lot about math, can't explain you. Neither can my mom who really liked Geometry back in high school.

I have a friend at church who's offered to help me retake and pass your exams tomorrow before bible study. She had you last year and she tells me that you and her are tight. With her as my translator, I'm sure we can become buddies.
Sincerly,
Rebecca
Yoga is really hard to do with the confusion of Geometry over me. Let's be friends, yes?

It took me forever to get that shot. Here are some silly mess-ups...hahaha:)

I rarely ever shoot posed shots but I thought this could convey my frustration better than my words.

School isn't all bad... Today in aerobics, we did pilates which was hard, but my teacher let us take a ten minute nap.I kid you not. He let us all lay down on the mats and turned the lights off and let us rest. It was great.I halfway fell asleep and was reliving my days at camp.:)

After that we had study hall. But I had to go with my fellow sophomores to a "class meeting" with the principal. We have a new principal this year and he is a hypocrite and I don't like him. He talks at us like immature children, he has no sense of humor, never smiles and has the nerve to tell us to not use our phones during school hours then answers his phone after the meeting. I mean really?! Great example your setting for the student body....

That meeting also ruined my chances of making up one of my failed geometry tests.I did make up the quiz though and think I really improved my score.:)

I am looking forward to getting this crazy week over with, so much is happening and I have lots to take care of before the quarter ends. I hope you all are doing well, have a good week!:)

Tag first, then blog :D

Thanks for tagging me Kiki!:)

Name 3 colors you love:
purple, blue, and gray
Would you ever dye your hair any of those colors?
Nope!My hair will turn gray naturally...
If you could choose one skill to be fantastic at, what would it be?
Very hard, I want to be good at a lot of things... I will have to go with the skill of being stealthy sneaky, you know, quick on your feet, knowledgeable;basically I want to be as stealthy as
James Bond and Kiki Strike.:)

Do you like to decorate your room with pictures and other decor?
Oh most definitely. My walls consist of Harry Potter Posters, collages I've made, pictures, and paintings.Re-arranging and decorating my room is one of my most enjoyed hobbies, ever sine I was little:)
What was the most shocking moment of your life?
Probably when my little brother was first diagnosed with autism (He was about 1 1/2 years old, I was 8-ish) He just stopped talking (out of the blue) and when my parents told me he was autistic, I thought it was just something we could get some medicine for; to make him get better. The shock came the 1-6 years later when I realized he wouldn't be cured, as their is no cure for autism yet. He has been slowly recovering and my family and I are so blessed that he is talking now.:)
Name three songs you love (please include the artist!):
"How He Loves" by The David Crowder Band
"Saskia Hamilton" by Ben Folds/ Nick Hornby
&"Raindrops" by Regina Spektor

Have you ever, quote "danced the night away"?:
Yes, this year at my school's
homecoming.I am a horrible dancer but my friends didn't mind.:)
Who's your favorite author?:
Ultimately, God(the Bible). but as far as humans go, J.K. Rowling. Harry Potter changed my life. It is my escape from this world, as most books are.:)
Did you like this tag?

5. & Anyone else who wants to do this tag.:)

Now, bloggity time.

It is nearing the end of the quarter here and it is crazy. I have a not so good grade in Geometry. I don't see math in my future career as a photographer. Alphabet + Math = ?????!!?!?!?! I'm trying to bring it up, but I just don't understand. I will study tomorrow in p.e.(we get study halls on Fridays!:D)
The end of the quarter means tests and quizzes and projects and late work are due.Ugh.... I believe many of you can feel my pain.

Also, if I am not responding to your comments as consistently, it's because my mom believes I'm addicted to the Internet (phfff, as if...*sarcasm*) and has destroyed our Internet modem. I can get on at school, but only  a few times a week...

There is a light.I am involved in my school's art club. We are making stuff out of clay, which I stink at but it's still fun.:) I took many pictures today.....

Do you see the heart?:)

Those wheels are so mesmerizing...

Accidental vector :D

:)

A friend made this cereal bowl and explained to me that this means that even if you think your done, you still have places to go.:)

Pet Photography Challenge

Hello.:)

I have started following a fellow blogger/photographer named Maggie. I was reading her blog and I saw that she does these photography challenges, see. This week; the challenge is pets. Now, I don't have a pet of my own, but my friend (Blue Seal) does have a stray cat hanging around her house all the time.;) I spent about a third of my summer there, so I eventually got some shots of this pretty stray kitty.

I am totally open to feedback and constructive criticism  Speaking of feedback, umm...THANK YOU!I got so many comments on my last post. You guys are awesome! It make me so happy hearing what your thoughts are on my pictures.:) Also, I know many of you are into photography as well, so I wanted to give you a heads-up if you want to enter also. Please let me know if you do, I'd love to see your photos! :)

Thanks again, and have an amazing week.:)

Fall(ish?) Pictures

Good evening, morning or afternoon.:)

I promised a picture post, here it is!:)This week I took pictures while on my bike rides. I tried to focus on the coming fall, but I took pics of anything that intrigued me.I tend to do that a lot...

Gorgeous leaves, look at the purple, green, and red hues....
they make me happy.:D

I was riding along and I noticed that grass was growing out of the sewer pot hole thingy....
The small things you may normally ignore pose thoughtful questions.

I thought this person's yard deserved a picture feature;)

In Journalism, we went to some of the art classes to practice with the Canon Rebels. This was one of my favorite ones.

Another one from Journalism...

This was on the way home from Art Club.I like how the arrow on the road is pointing to the sun, as a vector.

I found some dandelions today....

Please feel free to tell me what you think, what I did well, what I didn't, and how I can improve.I crave your opinion. :)Thanks for reading! Tell me if you like these picture posts and want more.

Un-blurry pictures and beautiful fall surrounding you,

Nachos, Bond, Leroy Jenkins, and Vespas

Hello.:)

I have very much to talk about.

First off, Nachos hate me. Let me explain... I was eating lunch on Wednesday and I was eating, as you can guess, nachos. I was trying to dip a chip that was severely lacking cheese into a cheese covered one. But the chip broke. every. single. time.

It was a frustrating experience. But it didn't end. I had nachos the next day for lunch. It happened again.and again, and again... I got very angry and in my anger asked my friends, "what if my love life turns out to be like these nachos, never finding the man I will love and to spend my life with, and just breaking the hearts of guys, over and again, and again...."

One of my best friends said "That won't happen". He doesn't have a nickname on my blog yet so I will call him Bond. Bond is currently in a relationship with another one of my best friends. I saw those pictures from Homecoming that I mentioned in my last blog. Those pictures felt kinda like I was intruding and being the awkward, random, short girl in the middle of the picture, in-between two happy couples.

The point I'm getting at is, I feel lonely. I've never had a boyfriend and I never felt like I needed one. I still feel that way. I just think it'd be nice sometimes..
I'm not going to go boy-hunting or anything, but I just hate being the ackwardish one.

Anyway, enough about boys, most of them are jerks.Cept' my boy-friends; like            Bond, guys from my youth group and camp, and my camp friend who wants to be referred to as "that awesome guy" on here.:D Speaking of "that awesome guy" I have two words to say; LEROY JENKINS!!!!:D

Literally 15 minutes  before I started typing up this blog, David Henrie tweeted this:"lerrrrroooooyyyyyy jenkins!!!!!" That is all. : )

In dream news, I had a dream Tuesday about someone toasting bread for sandwiches with a curling iron. That is all I remember.. How do you interpret that, haha. I am stumped on this one....

It is the second of October and I am very excited. I'm looking forward to Halloween. I plan on dressing up as Kiki Strike, one of my favorite book characters of all time:

I will do my best to look like her. It won't be hard, seeing as I'm already short and blond, hahaha. I think I will stand out where other girls my age will be wearing costumes way too grown-up and revealing. And I will be awesome, in my skin covering, all-black ensemble, minus the Vespa, I have a budget.:D

I also look foreword to capturing the beautiful changes in weather, leaves, clothing in stores, and seeing the Christmas season approaching all too fast.

Thanks for reading friends, I love hearing your thoughts in the comments. I can't believe I  have 15 followers, I never thought this many people would read this; thank you from the bottom of my heart. (:
Expect even more upcoming posts involving camp and J.K. Rowling, I have a research essay to put off.;)
-Rebecca:)

p.s. Bond isn't referred to as Bond because he breaks girls' hearts; he is the most kind, chivalrous, guy in the world. That's why he's one of my bbff(best boy-friend forever) :) He introduced me to the young Bond series, which is one of my favorite book series of all time.Kbye now...
